Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?
31 Dec, 2007 | CATEGORY: Education| SOURCE: TED
Great talk about the problems with current educational models in the 1st world. Sir Ken highlights in this talk that we are educating children for a future of a culture that is already changing so quickly, we can't understand what it will be like 60 years from now. In this light we need to unleash and develop the natural creativity in children so they are able to respond creatively to these future life conditions.
To quote:
"I believe our only hope for the future is to adopt a new conception of human ecology. One in which we start to reconstitute our ideas of the richness of human capacity...We have to rethink the fundamental principles upon which we are educating our children."
